A Little Bit About Us
After years of traveling through the West exploring our interest in Native American Art and Culture, we left our professional careers and opened our first Southern Exposure store in Mystic, Connecticut in 1994. With a heavy emphasis on Native American Arts, Southern Exposure has also now expanded its offerings to include Home Furnishings, Clothing, Cowboy Boots and Footwear, Leather Handbags, Belts and Jackets.
In an effort to truly involve our customers in our Native experiences and passion, we bring in Native American Artists to demonstrate their particular art form and also Educators to give lectures to interested customers.
In 2005, our second Southern Exposure store was borne further down the Connecticut shoreline featuring a similar, but different, mix of personally hand selected items. The Fashion Clothing has taken off in the Shoreline store in Old Saybrook, Connecticut for our customers seeking fun color and texture in their fashion. The Clothing items are hand selected – just like everything else.
We hope you enjoy what you see on our website, and may sometime have an opportunity to see our bricks and mortar stores in Mystic and Old Saybrook, CT.
