Our New Mexico trip of course included a couple days at Zuni Pueblo and we always like to see artists who have been here to our Southern Exposure stores to do shows in the past.

It was a very special buying trip to New Mexico these last eleven days... we were welcomed at Santo Domingo Pueblo by our friends the Lovato Family. After a very filling breakfast and hearing tales of the kids' and grandkids' lives and experiences and educational pursuits, Anthony and his boys Joel and Cordel showed us their current work and yep we bought a boatload... beautiful Tufa sandcast pieces, some with stones, and of course Anthony's great handmade link chains.

This week was a true testament to how Les and I consider it a challenge to find just what our customers want. We try to keep our stores chock full of special things, but there will always be more special things to find... that's what keeps us going!

We were set up October 3rd & 4th at the Native American Festival at Hammonassett State Park in Madison, CT. This festival which takes place every other year is chock full of great educational experiences for young and old alike... live concert performances by Joseph Firecrow and other musicians, birds of prey, falconry and reptile programs; drumming and dancing; and individual artists also offering their work for sale.

Yep the boots are indeed here in both the Mystic and Westbrook shops and we are wildly excited about the Boots!

Your choices are great styles from Lucchese and Old Gringo... some for men, some for women, something for everyone! We have tall boots, shorter boots, shoe boots and slides in lots of great styles and colors... you just gotta check them out either on line or in the stores!

Soon we will also have children's boots so the kids can join in the fun too!
